Marine Resources has a stand out marine engineering position for an experienced manager to be based in central London!
My client provide marine engineering services to both private and commercially owned vessels on the river Thames, London. They are currently seeking a Fleet Marine Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering department in maintaining Company Vessels across their two associated companies.
Main duties to include:
• To manage & develop the engineering department ensuring all machinery and equipment is maintained as appropriate
• To maintain a list of outstanding defects for all vessels and ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
• To prioritise & assign jobs for the engineering department
• To oversee planned maintenance for all vessels
• To carry out routine inspections of all vessels and complete associated paperwork
• To maintain an up-to-date stock count of engineering items
• To manage stores requests and ordering of engineering items
• To manage dry docking specifications & schedules to include budgeting
• To ensure the engineering team are familiarised and trained accordingly
• To identify & highlight any training needs within the department
• To adhere to all statutory requirements and licensing body regulations
• To carry out Risk Assessments as required
• To act as engineer & crew on board company and associated company vessels when required
