Our client, a global leader in composite core material innovation with over five decades of expertise, is seeking a dedicated Technical Sales Engineer to join their expanding team. Operating across diverse sectors such as, marine,industry, transport, aerospace, and wind energy applications, the company is at the forefront of the composites industry. As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be instrumental in managing client relationships, providing technical guidance, and supporting project execution. With a focus on business development and operational oversight in the Midlands and Northern UK regions, this role also offers an exciting opportunity within this field.

The role will involve visiting clients current and new throughout the UK (with a focus on  midlands to north) on a weekly basis (approx. 150 days per year).
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for both new and existing clients, managing commercial negotiations and technical requirements.
  • Advise and support clients in the optimal use of composite materials, ensuring their technical and commercial needs are met.
  • Work closely with key accounts to refine kit designs and maintain alignment with evolving project requirements.
  • Deliver practical training and support to customers, leveraging the expertise of the global
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, including the Sales and Managing Director, to shape and execute sales and business development strategies.
  • Share best practices and insights with colleagues to enhance collaborative working practices
  • Expand activities beyond marine applications, exploring new opportunities in other sectors.
Key Skills
  • Expertise in composite materials, preferably with hands-on composite manufacturing experience.
  • Proven success in a technical or client-facing sales role.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
