A prestigious Naval Architect and Marine Engineering design company are looking for a Technical Sales Manager.  This role is to provide critical technical sales support, responding to and maturing newly identified business opportunities, and delivering order intake directly in support of the companies growth objectives. 

The primary focus of the role will be:
  • Secure projects that are at the core of compnanies offering in commercial ship design.
  • Vessel design expertise would be preffered as you will need to support customers in the development of their requirements
  • Develop solutions for clients together with the existing engineering team
  • Develop, write and coordinate proposals - This will involve liaising commercial, finance, project management and technical functions to secure the necessary approvals.
To deliver this role successfully you will need:
  • To have a strong customer focus including skills in customer engagement in order to identify, develop and secure opportunities with experience of operating in the Europe Region.
  • Technical and commercial knowledge of Vessels including but not limited to Patrol Boats, Ferries, Crew Transfer Vessels, and ship design consultancy
  • Knowledge of relevant vessel operators and shipbuilders. 
  • You will also support the Technical Sales Manager for Americas and APAC for opportunities in the renewables sector, providing them with the international expertise developed by the team over the last few years.

Some travel to customer sites or to attend exhibitions and events will be required.
