Marine Resources have an exciting opportunity for an an Assistant Marine Engineer to join a well established speed boat experience company in Central London.
Role Purpose:
Responsibility and accountability for the planning and execution of maintenance and requirements for all vessels, servicing and supporting systems.
To maintain, improve and guarantee vessels are on the water in full operation throughout changeable seasonal demands.
You will be expected to take an active interest in the success of the Company, implement positive on-going change within the maintenance schedule and ensure standards are
continually delivered.
The Assistant Engineer will ensure all boats are ready for service as per schedule demands, whilst maintaining excellent onboard standards and 1st class care of all Company assets. of assets.
The role is varied across routine and emergency maintenance with progression opportunities.
Routine Maintenance Includes:
- Engine servicing, fuel filters, gear oil changes, filing service reports, checking props and hubs.
- Helm equipment, VHF’s kept in good working order.
- Boarding platforms, seats and surrounding areas checked.
- A-frame and D-bolts all secure. All mooring lines maintained.
- Steering systems checked/bled seals changed.
- Update Safety Management System defect reports, with confident communication to skipper team.
- Carry out repairs quickly to ensure maintained and ready for service.
- All work carried out logged, with solid timelines for reporting and review.
Emergency Maintenance
- Short notice maintenance, tube/hull repairs to ensure vessels are kept in action.
- Organise and conduct works with short time frames where break downs occur.
- Organise engine changes, major component changes with official engineers.
- Oversee Southdock and all supporting partners and parts to ensure job completion.
