Brokerage Manager
Our client is seeking a dynamic Brokerage Manager to lead their office in Chichester, operating within the marine sales industry. The Brokerage Manager will play a pivotal role in managing the office and acting as the primary point of contact between the public and our local team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing brokers, actively seeking new boat listings, promoting the sale of both new and pre-owned boats, building and maintaining customer relationships, and contributing to the development of sales strategies while ensuring budget goals are met. The Brokerage Manager will also oversee various operational tasks related to boat sales.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing brokers, actively seeking new boat listings, promoting the sale of both new and pre-owned boats, building and maintaining customer relationships, and contributing to the development of sales strategies while ensuring budget goals are met. The Brokerage Manager will also oversee various operational tasks related to boat sales.
The right candidate with have:
- Recent and relevant brokerage/new boat or part exchange experience preferred.
- Experience in setting up and managing a brokerage team.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to "close a deal."
- Good working knowledge of the local marine environment, clients, boats, marinas, and sailing clubs.
- Attention to detail, budgeting, and strategic experience.
- Ability to develop staff and encourage teamwork.
- Dedication to providing the highest level of customer service.
- Flexible and outgoing personality, with a sense of humour.
- Good working knowledge of both power and sail craft.
- Proactive and motivated within the sales environment.
- Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel, internet, and email.
- Awareness of health and safety rules and regulations within the marine industry.
