We are excited to be working with our client who operate a forward-thinking collective of successful businesses operating in the leisure boating, marina, and property sectors based at a superb sailing location on the South coast. We are looking for a strategic, hands-on and creative individual to take on the role of Business leader focussing on Strategic Development.

This unique role has full P&L responsibility and involves planning and executing initiatives to create marina developments, improve site operations, and meet sales, cost, and quality goals. The role also focuses on promoting continuous improvement, teamwork, and excellent customer service for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all operations, including marine lifting, yard management, team workloads, and coordination with other departments, ensuring compliance with HSE standards and industry regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections, maintain expertise in vessel operations and marine equipment, and provide hands-on support for yard duties and emergency tasks when required.
  • Develop and implement marine propositions supported by feasibility studies and cost analyses, while identifying opportunities to optimize revenue and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to drive growth and oversee commercial property management, ensuring compliance and maximizing profitability through effective strategies and tenant management.
  • Manage budgeting, P&L reporting, and financial forecasting while tracking progress against business targets, implementing cost-saving strategies, and preparing comprehensive financial reports, including capital expenditure planning.
