Marine Resources are excited to be representing an award-winning superyacht tender company on the South Coast who are renowned for their impeccably high standards.
The opportunity for experienced GRP Boat Builders to join the team has arisen as part of the company’s ongoing development plan.
This is a diverse role that requires a broad understanding of composite construction processes and small craft construction. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and diligent individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in related employment, and the ability to work at a high standard.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Pattern making for small components, working from 2D and 3D drawings
• Installation and assembly of custom GRP components into the vessel structure, including sub mouldings, lifting structures and sub-components such as hatches and doors
• Equipment installation including deck hardware, lifting components, hatches, doors and windows including opening mechanisms, fabrications etc
• Preparation for paint and basic painting processes such as filling, fairing, and priming
• Problem solving, fault diagnosis and rectification
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
• Experienced in new build GRP construction
• Experience in GRP boat modification
• Plug making
• Experience in fiberglass laminating
• Composites experience
• Experience in a high-quality new build, custom manufacturer
• Superyacht tender experience a benefit
• Working to a high standard
• Working within set timescales
• Ability to be independent on a vessel project – planning work, stock levels and information requirements
• Ability to follow instruction and work in a safe and productive manner
• Proof of marine qualifications a benefit
Salary & Benefits
- £15-£19 per hour dependent on experience
- 20 days paid holiday per, plus bank holidays the working days fall on. Some of these days will be reserved for their 2 weeks Christmas shut down.
- Working pattern Monday – Thursday 10 hours each day.
- Attractive company pension from 3 months
- Company life insurance and critical illness insurance from 6 months
