Laminator

Marine Resources are currently recruiting for an experienced Boat Builder/Laminator for a full-time, permanent opportunity with a leading company in the marine industry.

My client specialises in the production of state-of-the-art military and commercial craft. They are currently seeking a Boat Builder/Laminator to join their production team and play a crucial role in crafting high-quality vessels.

Main duties to include:
- Interpret and work from technical drawings.
- Mix and apply gelcoats by hand.
- Perform gelcoat repairs and finishing tasks.
- Prepare moulds and apply release agents.
- Conduct hand lamination processes.
- Fit Balsa and PVC foam cores.
- Utilise vacuum bagging techniques.
- Apply basic joinery skills.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.

Skills & Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in boat building and laminating.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Effective planning and organisational skills, with a proactive and consistent approach.
- Proven track record in laminating and boat building.
