Role: Port Operative
Location – Portsmouth Naval Base
Must have - Slingers or forklift tickets
You must be eligible to pass a full MOD security clearance.
Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 depended on experience + potential for overtime!
Hours: 37 hours a week, Monday – Thursday 8 hours a day and then Friday a 5-hour shift. (Half day)
These are predominantly day shifts however you will need to be aware that there might be times where they are asked to work outside of these hours.
Requirements: It is vital that applicants have a UK Driving License and ideally a slingers license and forklift
What does the Port operative do?
You will be responsible for the support in the berthing and movement of warships and other vessels in the naval base.
You will also play a role of a Slinger/Signaller and driving various material handling equipment.
