Marine Resources are seeking an experienced production manager to join Europe's largest MOD and Commercial Boat Builder! We are looking for someone to lead the new Build division based at the facility in the Merseyside area.
In your role, you'll lead Production team scheduling for current and new product lines, supervising boat manufacturing. Ensure consistent adherence to production, performance, and quality standards. Recommend process enhancements, implement new production tech, prioritize production, analyse performance, motivate teams, and achieve on-time, high-quality customer deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute new build production plans, aligning with manufacturing strategy.
- Ensure production schedules meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals.
- Manage supervisors, team leaders, and teams to achieve KPIs.
- Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices.
- Engage stakeholders, communicate plans, and address concerns.
- Report on manufacturing activities to senior management.
- Contribute to business strategy and budgets.
Requirements:
- Proven leadership in manufacturing optimization.
- Previous large team management experience.
- Experience in batch manufacturing and lean environments.
- Effective communicator and negotiator.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Results-oriented and deadline-driven.
- Resilient and culturally aware.
- Familiarity with quality systems (AQAP-2110 desireable)
